The keynote explores three drivers that will influence the future of health: transformed health systems; planetary health; and equity. The traditional health sector is increasingly out of step with changes in society. There is a need to “bring the health back in healthcare”, to enable a different kind of health - more holistic and co-designed with the communities. Futures and foresight can help policy makers harness these drivers to future-proof health systems.
