Fiscal space to support government investment in health (and other goods) is likely to contract at a time when the achievement of the SDG targets is only 10 years away. At the same time, many poor and near-poor have increased constraints on being able to pay out of pocket for health and health care. There is a need to finance preventative health as well as consider investments by other sectors and businesses to create environments for work, life, and play that promote healthier living.
